LSSU’s Escanaba Regional Center students complete business plans

ESCANABA -Ten area residents proudly display their business plans completed for their Business Policy class.

Business Policy (BUSN466) is a business capstone course that provides students with the opportunity to put past studies into practice.

Concepts of finance, organizational behavior, human resource management, economics, accounting and marketing are brought together into this senior level business course.

A major project of the class is to write a business plan on a business’s goals and detail how those goals are to be achieved.

The students completing their business plans for the class included Paula Sherwood-Schwartz, Jamie Strong, Lisa Boudreau, Nicole Rossell, Daniel Ciminiski, Jack Lipinski, Bryan Hays, Patrick Skorupski, Amanda McPherson, and Brady Barron

The students involved in the class graduated in May, or will graduate in August or December.

“These students have every right to be proud of their accomplishments!” said Heidi Baumgartner, director of the LSSU Regional Center at Bay College. “This course is taken their senior year which means that graduation is right around the corner, an exciting time for each one! We are honored to be part of their educational experience.”

LSSU, in partnership with Bay College, offer bachelor degree programs on Bay’s Escanaba campus. Business courses are also available in Iron Mountain on Bay’s West Campus.

LSSU offers a quality education to location-bound working adults, officials added.
