Dr. Siegler retiring after 36 years

IRON MOUNTAIN – Dr. David Siegler, OD, of Northern Eye Care Associates in Iron Mountain has announced his retirement.

“I am posting this notice to inform my patients of my decision to retire from my practice of optometry,” Dr. Siegler said.

“It is with mixed emotions that I have arrived at this decision. Over the past 36 years, it has been a great honor and my distinct pleasure to provide eye care to our community. I simply could not have asked for a better patient population or a more family friendly environment in which to live and practice . For that I will be eternally grateful.”

“As many of you already know, I took in a partner, Dr. Beau Poquette, approximately four years ago,” Dr. Siegler said. “Not long after our partnership, we changed the name of the practice to Northern Eye Care Associates.”

“Dr. Poquette grew up in this area as I did and wanted to return. I had known him for several years prior to his joining my practice. Over this time, we have become friends and have learned from one another,” Dr. Siegler said. “I have found him to be a caring, competent and very thorough practitioner as well as a possessor of Upper Michigan values.”

When Siegler made the decision to retire, Dr. Poquette’s wife, Dr. Audry Poquette, joined the practice. She is also a native of this area.

“I am confident that she possesses the professional skills and values that make our community a special place to live,” Dr. Siegler said.

“I am very comfortable knowing that Northern Eye Care Associates is left in such capable hands,” he said. “Again, I’d like to thank you, my patients, for your support for nearly four decades.”
