Buskers needed during Art Week in Marquette

MARQUETTE – Marquette Art Week, which is set for June 20-27, will be a week devoted to lectures, bike tours, nature hikes, public art, demos, concerts, special exhibits, dance and theater performances, readings and films.

The city of Marquette Arts and Culture Center is inviting all artist to take their skills to the street during Marquette Art Week. “Busking” is the practice of performing in public places, for gratuities. The city is encouraging artists, musicians, comedians, fire dancers, fortune-tellers, hula-hoopers, dancers, painters, clowns, etc. to sign up to for spots during this week.
