MARQUETTE – The city of Marquette Arts and Culture Center will host a sketching and watercolor workshop by internationally recognized filmmaker and artist Suzan Pitt on Friday, June 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This class is limited to 15 registrants and will be held at the art center located in the lower level of the Peter White Public Library at 217 N. Front St. The price is $75.

Pitt is an American film animator and painter, whose surreal, psychological animated films and paintings have been acclaimed and exhibited worldwide.

In addition there will be a screening of her film “Joy Street and Asparagus” in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library on Tuesday, June 23, at 7 p.m. followed by a question and answer section with the Pitt. This film is for residents 18 and older and is sponsored by the PWPL.
