Vincent retires from VAMC after 31 years of federal service

IRON MOUNTAIN – Anna Vincent started at the Iron Mountain VA Medical Center on March 4, 1984, and retired on May 29, 2015.

She started her VA career as a food service supervisor. Some of the other positions over that 31-year career were interim secretary to the chief of staff and the administrative officer for logistics service, which she held the position until retirement.

Her father, the late Edwin E. Manninen and step-father, the late Robert H. Douglas, retired military) served in the Armed Forces. In addition, her son, Technical Sgt. Dylan R. Bolander, is currently serving in the Air Force.

“I have been humbled by the opportunity to serve the veterans at the Oscar G. Johnson VAMC; giving back in a small way for the many sacrifices ALL veterans have given to protect this nation,” said Vincent.

She expressed her appreciation for all of her co-workers for making her 31 years as a public servant a rewarding experience.

She and her husband, Bill, have been married for 27 years, and they have one son, Dylan, who is currently stationed at Lackland Air Force Base.
