Iron Mountain Summer Farmers & Artisans Market this Saturday

IRON MOUNTAIN – The next Iron Mountain Farmers & Artisans Market will be Saturday, July 4. The market will run every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon and is located across from the Dickinson County Library.

“We are proud to announce that Mean Jean’s Mustard is back. Jean’s son Jay and wife Karen have started production of this very popular product again.” said Nancy Schaub, market manager

“Vendors will have raspberries and mushrooms for sale as well as good crop of greens, radishes, kohlrabi, and fresh herbs for sale, A few early zucchini and cucumbers may be available as well. We are proud to feature locally grown and produced products at our market,” Schaub said.

The market has a wide variety of locally made crafts available, jewelry, woven rugs, yard art, and birdhouses. Vendors sell eggs, meat, jam, maple syrup, baked goods and in season fruit.

Schaub manages the market together with the Farmer’s Market Executive committee under the auspices of DDA Main Street. The public is asked to refrain from being in market area before 8 a.m. to give vendors a chance to set up their products safely.

Space may still be available for those wishing to sell locally grown produce and plants. Artist and crafters producing unique products from natural or organic materials are encouraged to join other vendors at the market. The market is also open to those locally produced food products.

Vendors will no longer be accepted on site but rather will be required to submit a completed application for the market committee to review. Interested farmer or artist vendors wanting to participate in the market or citizens seeking additional information, please contact the Iron Mountain Farmer’s and Artisan’s Market Manager at 774-4002 or e-mail hsrhnschaub@att.net.
