Roving kettle for Salvation Army planned

IRON MOUNTAIN – Area businesses have the chance to have the Roving Kettle for a day, from Nov. 13-Dec. 23, according to an announcement.

Trisha Peterson from the Salvation Army Advisory Board, will be coordinating this activity. She can be reached at 774-5731.

“This is for a great cause, to help people with deep poverty in Dickinson County. These people don’t have food for their table, shoes to walk in, clean clothes everyday like you and I,” officials said.

There is also a challenge associated with the Roving Kettle. The small and large business that each collects the most in their category will receive the Kettle Traveling Trophy.
