Better Hearing open house at Dickinson ENT Clinic

IRON MOUNTAIN – The Dickinson Ear, Nose & Throat Clinic will host both a free educational seminar and an open house in October.

The educational seminar is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Maple Creek Restaurant beginning at 5 p.m. A complimentary dinner will be provided.

The Open House will be held on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 15, and Oct. 16, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dickinson Ear, Nose & Throat Clinic. Space is limited, and reservations are required.

Anyone who wants to learn more about the new and improved technology available to enhance hearing is encouraged to call (906) 239-3817 to make a reservation.

The free seminar and dinner at Maple Creek Restaurant will feature Dr. Jeff Hutchinson, local audiologist, and Andy Johnson, a representative from ReSound hearing aid manufacturer.

They will discuss ways to protect hearing and to overcome hearing loss by introducing the latest technology in hearing device systems.

“The technology surrounding both the hearing aid itself and the fitting of the hearing aid has changed and improved dramatically,” noted Dr. Jeff Hutchinson, local audiologist. “Many more patients today are reporting satisfaction with hearing aids because of this improved technology.”

The Open House at the clinic will provide free hearing screenings; a no risk, no money down opportunity to try out the new hearing aid technology; and free batteries for a year with all hearing devices.

“We are first committed to helping people protect their hearing because once it is gone, it is lost for good. Providing education to the public so they know how to conserve their hearing is our first goal,” Dr. Hutchinson said.

“Once hearing becomes impaired, then our goal becomes to reach as many people as possible and help them learn about the current technology that can help them regain this important asset. The events in October are designed to meet both these goals,” he added.

Dickinson Ear, Nose & Throat Clinic offers this team approach to correct or manage hearing loss. Otolaryngologist Dr. Ray Cameron, and audiologist, Dr. Jeff Hutchinson provide a unique blend of professional expertise in combination with sophisticated technology to diagnose and treat hearing problems.
