Home health agency honored for patient experience for third year

IRON RIVER – Northstar Home Care & Hospice has been named a 2015 HHCAHPS Honors’ recipient, a prestigious honor granted to home health agencies that are providing the best patient experience.

This is the third year in a row that the home health agency has been recognized.

Established by Deyta Analytics, this prestigious annual review recognizes agencies that continuously provide quality care as measured from the patient’s point of view.

Deyta used the Home Health Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HHCAHPS) survey results from partnering home health agencies contained in its database with an evaluation period of April 2014 through March 2015.

Deyta identified HHCAHPS Honors recipients by evaluating performance on a set of 19 satisfaction indicator measures. HHCAHPS Honors recipients include those agencies scoring above the Deyta National Average on at least 85 percent, or 17, of the evaluated questions.

“The reason why we continue to receive these honors is because our staff members have an excellent rapport with our patients,” said Home Care & Hospice manager Faye Atanasoff. “We continue to give excellent care to our patients.”

Deyta Analytics acknowledges this home health agency that is being proactive with their survey results by leveraging their data to improve the patient experience, and is demonstrating quality to patients and referral partners.
