CRYSTAL FALLS – Jim and Julie Hammill of Crystal Falls have recently joined Wild Rivers Realty & Associates Inc.

They will focus on both listing and selling property, and managing property.

Jim Hammill was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula and has dedicated his life to natural resources management, both personally and professionally.

He is retired from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources where he served for more than 30 years as a wildlife biologist and was involved with all aspects of wildlife management, retiring as the Western Upper Peninsula wildlife supervisor.

He received his Michigan real estate license in 2003.

As an avid outdoorsman, hunter, and fisherman, and with his knowledge of the land, wildlife, and ecosystems, it was natural that he focused on wild lands and recreational property when he began his career in real estate.

Julie Hammill has been a Michigan licensed real estate salesperson since 2007, and works with her husband, Jim, specializing in helping clients buy and sell wild and recreational lands and camps.

Julie was raised on a farm in lower Michigan. She moved to the Upper Peninsula in 1988, and has since been enjoying the most beautiful countryside this state has to offer.

Julie retired from the state of Michigan in 2009 with more than 34 years of administrative support experience.

She is an avid hunter and fisherman and her hobbies include wood carving and wood burning. Her connection with the land and nature inspires her to help others find the house, camp, or property of their dreams.

Since 2002, Jim and Julie have been building their business, Iron Range Consulting and Services Inc. They offer a broad range of environmental services, and focus on providing land, forest, and water management and planning assistance to private landowners.
