Dayton Freight Lines earns Quest for Quality awards

DAYTON, Ohio — Dayton Freight Lines, a provider of regional less-than-truckload transportation services, has won Logistics Management’s 2017 Quest for Quality award in the midwest/north central regional LTL category.

This is the eighth time DFL has been honored with this achievement. And, for the third time, the company won the 2017 Quest for Quality Award in the Expedited Motor Carriers category.

The Quest for Quality awards are voted on by readers of Logistics Management magazine, and are regarded as one of the most important measures of customer satisfaction and operational excellence in the transportation industry. Each year, the study evaluates and measures transportation service providers across the nation utilizing criteria such as on-time performance, value, information technology, customer service and equipment/operations.

“We are humbled by this customer recognition,” said Dave Brady, vice president of sales. “The Dayton Difference is about going the extra mile to deliver freight on time, intact and with total visibility. I’d like to thank our customers, and every one of our 4,400 Dayton Freight employees who handle our customers’ freight as if it were their own.”

Founded in 1981, Dayton Freight is a private, union-free, less-than-truckload freight carrier headquartered in Dayton, Ohio.

Currently ranked as the country’s 15th largest LTL company, Dayton Freight has 50 service centers –including one in Iron Mountain — in 13 Midwest states served by 4,400 employees.
