GREEN BAY, Wis. — Family practice physician Dr. Cynthia Lasecki has been chosen to become chief medical officer with Bellin Health.

“Dr. Lasecki brings incredible passion and energy to whatever she does,” said George Kerwin, Bellin CEO. “Her commitment to her fellow medical professionals really stand outs. We look forward to seeing here in this new role within our health system.”

As chief medical officer, Lasecki will provide medical expertise and staff perspective to strategic planning and production system design; help execute the system vision for quality and safety, medical staff development; and act as an ambassador for Bellin Health.

“I look forward to moving into this new leadership role,” Lasecki said. “It’s an opportunity to contribute in an extended leadership capacity while continuing to work with my fellow medical professionals, staff, administration, my patients and the public.”

Lasecki received a bachelor’s degree from Marquette University before earning her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medication.

Bellin Health is an integrated health care system based in Green Bay. It has serviced people in Northeast Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula since 1908. Bellin Health has more than 4,000 employees and is comprised of Bellin Hospital, Bellin Psychiatric Center, 32 Bellin Health primary care physician clinics, and several retail health clinics known as Bellin Health FastCare.

Bellin also operates Bellin Health Oconto Hospital, a critical care access hospital in Oconto, Bellin Fitness, and Bellin College.

Late last year, Bellin Health announced it was starting the process of acquiring Iron Mountain-based Dickinson County Healthcare System. It already operates a clinic in Iron Mountain.
