KINGSFORD — Carol LaFave has been promoted to loan department manager at the Iron Mountain Kingsford Community Federal Credit Union. LaFave started with IMKCFCU in 1976 as a teller. She was moved up to head teller in 1979, then became general assistant in 1985, a position she had until she was named loan officer in 1994.

“Carol is a valuable asset to our credit union family. She continues to strive for excellence and that is why we are so happy to offer her this opportunity for advancement,” CEO Scott Dickman said.

The Iron Mountain Kingsford Community Federal Credit Union has been serving the area since 1948.

The IMKCFCU now has more than 12,000 members in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and northeast Wisconsin.
