Baer promoted to president of Lasco

MARQUETTE –Robert Baer has had the interim tag taken off his title, becoming president of Lasco Inc. as of June 1.

Baer started his 22-year career at Lasco as a computer operator while still in high school and then attending Northern Michigan University. In 2003, he was selected to be Lasco’s Check 21 image processing manager and was responsible for the company’s new remote branch capture program to 12 different financial clients over a two-year span. In 2009, Baer was promoted to vice president of bank services, then to senior vice president of client management in 2014. He was appointed interim president of the company in October.

Lasco is an information technology company specializing in financial service software, support services, local and wide area network hardware and other services across the Upper Peninsula and Wisconsin.
