Toxic heavy metals found near sand mine spill

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has found elevated levels of toxic heavy metals, including arsenic, in the wake of a frac sand mine spill that sent millions of gallons of sludge into a Trempealeau River tributary near Whitehall in western Wisconsin.
