IRON MOUNTAIN – The John Fornetti Dental Center will host a free Oral Cancer Screening Day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 27, at the John Fornetti Dental Center, 100 S. Stephenson Ave. in Iron Mountain.

April is Oral Cancer Awareness Month. According the American Cancer Society, about 53,000 people will get oral cavity or oropharyngeal cancer this year, and an estimated 10,860 people will die of these cancers, or about one American every hour. More than 25 percent of these cancers occur in patients younger than 55 years of age. An oral cancer screen only takes a few minutes and could save a life.

Dr. John and Dr. Dan Fornetti, along with their team of employees, will do the free screenings.
