McGillviray added to DCHS’s OB/GYN Clinic
IRON MOUNTAIN — Sadie McGillviray has joined the OB/GYN Clinic at Dickinson County Healthcare System in Iron Mountain.
A family nurse practitioner, McGillviray specializes in health care services for women of all ages, including birthing, family planning, pelvic examinations and solving chronic health issues.
McGillviray has worked in health care since 2011 as an ICU registered nurse at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, Wis., and most recently as an operating room nurse at DCHS while continuing her education.
She notes, “We are so much more than our physical health, and my practice philosophy is to treat the whole patient, not just a disease. It is my goal to get to know my patients on a deeper level. I truly cannot wait to be involved in the care of this community for many years to come.”
McGillviray earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain University in Downers Grove, Ill., and master’s degree in nursing from Marian University in Fond du Lac. She is certified in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, and by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
A northern Wisconsin native, McGillviray enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, spending time with her husband, Ryan, and two Siberian husky dogs.
“I have taken great interest in practicing women’s health and am inspired by my patients’ strength, compassion and ambition. It is my desire to help guide these strong women toward a path of wellness,” she said.
