IRON MOUNTAIN — Tickets are now available for the Northern Lights YMCA Dickinson Center’s annual Corks & Forks event set for Thursday, Oct. 10, at Pine Grove Country Club.

Corks & Forks is a YMCA fundraising event for the organization’s annual campaign, which provides support for membership and programming access for all in the community.

“We are very much looking forward to this year’s event, our sixth annual Corks & Forks,” YMCA Center Director Jonathan Ringel said. “We are very grateful to our partners, 41 Lumber, Bacco Construction and Bink’s Wine, and we are so glad to be working once again with our hosts at Pine Grove as well as all the members of our community who help keep this event a success through prize donations and volunteer efforts.”

The evening begins with a social hour at 5:30 p.m. The event features hors d’oeuvres, exquisite wines, beer, music, cash bar, raffles and prizes — including a specially designed ring from Erickson Jewelers.

The YMCA annually provides close to $100,000 in direct financial assistance to residents through scholarship for membership and program subsidies.

“As the YMCA continues to grow, so, too, does the amount of assistance we provide,” Ringel said. “We’ve been extremely fortunate to have folks in the community who believe and support in our mission through events like this.”

As in year’s past, the YMCA offers a Kids Night in conjunction with the wine tasting. Children ages 3 to 12 can enjoy structured activities at the YMCA while their parents enjoy the evening.

Tickets for the event are $50 per person or $90 per couple and are available at the YMCA Welcome Desk, by phone at 906-774-4076 or online at www.nlymca.com/dickinson.
