Bay College West to offer new Excel classes in December

IRON MOUNTAIN — Bay College West in Iron Mountain will offer three workshops in December on how to operate Microsoft Excel at different levels.

These classes, to be taught by Lorri Vross, will be Dec. 10, Dec. 12 and Dec. 17.

The first class, Basic Excel, will be offered in two parts. Part one will be 8 to 10 a.m. Dec. 10. This class will cover the fundamentals, creating worksheets and formatting.

Part two will be 8 to 11 a.m. Dec. 12. In this class, students will learn how to manipulate data, create charts, modify settings and create templates.

Interested individuals can take both classes for $104 or take part one for $57 or part two for $64. This course assumes participants are familiar with Microsoft Windows. It will be beneficial to participants who want to accomplish basic workplace tasks in Excel and build a solid foundation for continuing on to become proficient in Excel.

The second class, Excel: Charts and Pivots, will be 8 to 11 a.m. Dec. 17. This course costs $62.

Students will learn how to build more complex functions, use data analysis tools, make an impact with powerful chart and presentation features, and collaborate with other users.
