UW Extension sets workshop on USDA Farm Bill, insurance
COLEMAN, Wis. — The UW-Madison, Division of Extension offices in Marinette and Oconto counties will offer a workshop to help crop producers better understand crop insurance and how their USDA Farm Bill crop program decision can interact with their crop insurance decisions from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Pound Town Hall, W8484 County Highway B in Coleman.
The workshop will provide an overview of crop insurance policy types, premium likelihood and related opportunities; an overview of the Farm Bill Crop Program decision-making process regarding ARC/PLC; and how crop insurance and Farm Bill decisions may directly or indirectly work together as part of an overall risk management plan.
