Northern Interstate Bank will be the children’s area sponsor for the Downtown Development Authority’s annual Oktoberfest event set for Sept. 25 in downtown Iron Mountain. The free children’s area is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with several fun activities for the kids. “We are so excited to be able to bring back Oktoberfest after a year of no events,” said Tania Mishra and Mindy Wittock with the DDA. “We are thrilled for the opportunity to see the community come together again and enjoy each other’s company at this special outdoor festival. We are especially thrilled to offer a number of family-friendly activities as well as a variety of German wines this year for those who don’t get excited for beer.”
