Pakkala joins orthopedic team at DC Healthcare
IRON MOUNTAIN–Dickinson County Healthcare is expanding its bone and joint care capabilities by adding Clint Pakkala, a family nurse practitioner, to its orthopedic team.
Board-certified from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Pakkala graduated from Finlandia University with his bachelor of science in nursing and attended Chamberlain College of Nursing for his master’s to become a family nurse practitioner. Before joining DCH, Pakkala worked in orthopedics at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital, where he assisted in surgery and provided care to patients.
“His prior experience and passion for providing great care is an excellent addition to our area’s largest orthopedic team here at Dickinson County Healthcare,” DCH CEO Chuck Nelson said.
Pakkala chose a career in orthopedics to work with patients to improve their quality of life.
“My philosophy is to provide patients with accurate information about their diagnosis and treatment options and work together to come to a desired and realistic goal. It is rewarding knowing that I can help someone get back to doing what they enjoy, whether it be sports, walking, gardening, fishing, or anything else,” Pakkala said.
Pakkala comes to Iron Mountain with his children, Rease and Shaya.
