GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — At the annual Michigan Realtors Convention in Grand Rapids, Kim Harder Webb of Leeds Real Estate in Iron Mountain was named the winner of the 2022 Michigan Realtor Good Neighbor Award.
This award recognizes Realtors who make extraordinary commitments to improving the quality of life in their communities.
Of the more than 36,000 Realtor members in Michigan, 11 were nominated with only one recipient. No other Upper Peninsula Realtor had ever been nominated and Webb is now representing the region with a win.
Webb gives special thanks to Carrie Toretta Partello from Coldwell Banker of Iron Mountain. Webb stated that this award wouldn’t have been possible if Toretta Partello hadn’t taken the time to nominate her.
“I had no idea that this award even existed until Carrie had informed me that she had nominated me,” Webb said.
Along with the award, the Imagination Factory Children’s Museum will receive a $2,500 grant because of Webb’s voluntary work with this charity.
“The children are our future and we need to be there for them now more than ever. There are kind people everywhere, if you don’t find one, then choose to be one” stated Webb during her acceptance of the award.
The Upper Peninsula Association of Realtors has also given $1,000 to the Imagination Factory Children’s Museum in support of this first-time recognition for the Upper Peninsula.
