IRON MOUNTAIN -- Iron Mountain Counseling Center has added Jeff Simms to its team.
Simms is both a licensed professional and national certified counselor, specializing in individual and couples therapy.
He has a bachelor of science degree in psychology from Central Michigan University and a master's in counseling from Oakland University.
Simms relocated to Iron Mountain in December 2021 with his wife, Megan, and their three children. He has almost 15 years of mental health experience, with a perspective that includes higher education, health insurance and private practice. His areas include anxiety and depressive disorders, PTSD, stress and life transitions. Clients have included college students, first responders, health care professionals, and veterans.
Simms will start part-time at the Iron Mountain Counseling Center this month, eventually providing full-time counseling services. The center, 216 E. Ludington St., can be reached at 906-239-9918.
