IRON MOUNTAIN -- The Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed a new business, Renewed Life Chiropractic, to downtown Iron Mountain with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Owner Dr. Lauren Carobine is a Florence County High School graduate who has returned to the area.
After completing her undergraduate degree, Carobine began her chiropractic career in Georgia, then practiced in the Appleton, Wis., area for a few years before moving back to the U.P. with her fiance so they could be closer to family.
Throughout Carobine's years in practice, she developed a love of caring for pediatrics, families and patients of all ages. Her adult adjusting table is specially made to do a technique that decompresses the low back, so it is great for low back pain and sciatica.
Carobine is certified in the Webster Technique, a chiropractic technique specifically designed for pregnancy, and she is certified through the Pediatric Experience.
Soon Carobine will become a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner or CCEP, which is a technique for extremity adjustments.
Throughout her years after chiropractic school, she found passion in nutrition and holistic health care. She loves finding and learning about healthier alternatives and getting close to living as toxin-free as possible.
Carobine can be reached at her business, Renewed Life Chiropractic, at 222 E. Hughitt St. in Iron Mountain. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesdays; and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fridays. Her phone number is 906-774-2946 and her website is www.rnlchiro.com.
