Aspirus Iron River Hospital seeks volunteers
IRON RIVER — Aspirus Iron River Hospital has put out a call for volunteers to help at its facility.
Volunteers support a variety of areas — from greeting patients and visitors to assisting with clerical work, providing comfort and companionship or helping in the gift shop. Each role plays a vital part in enhancing the patient experience and supporting hospital staff, Aspirus states in a news release.
“Our volunteers play a vital role in creating a welcoming and compassionate environment for our patients and visitors,” said Jenna Camps, patient experience supervisor and volunteer liaison at Aspirus Iron River. “Their time, kindness and presence truly enhance the overall experience of care — and we’re grateful for every person who chooses to give back in this way.”
Across Aspirus, volunteers often say they receive far more than they give — new friendships, personal growth and a deep sense of purpose and fulfillment, the Wausau, Wis.-based system states.
