Health screenings to be done Dec. 9 in Iron Mountain

IRON MOUNTAIN - Life Line Screening will offer health screenings for cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes and other conditions Dec. 9 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 1210 S. Kimberly Ave. in Iron Mountain.

The screenings can check for:

-- The level of plaque buildup in arteries, related to risk for cardiovascular disease, stroke and overall vascular health;

-- HDL and LDL cholesterol levels;

-- Diabetes risk;

-- Kidney and thyroid function, and more.

Free parking will be available. Package pricing starts at $159, but consultants will work with residents to create a affordable package based on age and risk factors, Life Line Screening states in a news release.
