IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce has hosted a celebratory ribbon-cutting ceremony to welcome Edward Jones Financial Advisor Schlyn Thiry to the local business community.

Located at 729 Main St. in Norway, Edward Jones is a financial establishment that specializes in retirement savings strategies, portfolio reviews, insurance and annuities, college savings, business retirement plans, estate and legacy strategies and more.

“Our business is built by helping people achieve financial wellness,” Thiry said. “We are inspired to help the younger investors get started and understand how saving early can be beneficial to their future. We enjoy helping the middle-aged investors paint the ideal retirement picture and help them work towards achieving that goal. And for those investors in their golden years, we are more than happy to make sure your hard-earned money is going to last through your retirement.”
Thiry states in a news release how they achieve these goals –
– Get to know you and your family on a deep level;
– Contact and meet regularly to ensure progress is being made;
– Use experience to manage risk and deliver growth within your goals;
– Listen and understand what is most important to you and work toward those goals together; and
– Care about you and your financial wellness and treat you just like a member of their family.
Born and raised in the Upper Peninsula, Thiry currently lives in Carney with her husband, Cory, kids Everet and Adly and their dog, Duke.

“We are a very outgoing family and love to be outdoors as much as possible. We are avid sports fans, and the entire family loves to dance! I am very family oriented and love giving back to others, whether it be family, friends or my community. I strive to be a great mentor, friend, confidante and someone who continues to grow into the best person I can be,” she said in the news release.
Branch Office Administrator Caylan Trudell, also a born-and-raised Yooper, currently lives in Faithorn with her husband, Brian, and two dogs, Bart and Maggie. They are an outdoorsy family as well and spend a lot of time at their camp in Republic.
