Longtime locals Jenni and Bill St. John officially took over the business Feb. 5. They said in a news release they “are dedicated to upholding the traditions and quality that guests have come to love.”

Sheila and Dave Weaver founded the business in 2006. “For nearly 20 years, this establishment has been a place where families gather, friendships are made and memories are treasured over food and drinks,” the new owners said in the news release.

The St. Johns pledge to maintain the original recipes, warm atmosphere and outstanding service “that have made Spuds Bistro a neighborhood favorite for nearly two decades. With genuine gratitude for the foundation that has been built, they are eager to continue the legacy that the Weavers built.”

Guests can expect the same menu, friendly faces and welcoming environment, with plans to bring back some previous menu favorites, they said.

Jenni St. John has 36 years of experience in the restaurant industry, with the past 15 years spent working as a food service sales consultant for Sysco and Gordon Foodservice. Bill St. John has more than 30 years of experience working in the hardware business and is the store manager at Kingsford Ace Hardware.

They said they Jenni are grateful that all the staff have decided to go on this journey with them and look forward to many more years of sharing great food and memorable moments.
