ESCANABA -- First Bank, Upper Michigan, has promoted Alex DeHaan to assistant vice president and trust officer within the Investment Management Group.
This promotion reflects DeHaan's nearly nine years in providing service to First Bank clients, according to a news release.
He started his career at First Bank in September 2017 as a financial advisor, obtaining his FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses and building strong relationships over six years. In January 2024, he became a trust and investment officer.
DeHaan was promoted July 15 to assistant vice president while continuing his role as a trust and investment officer, working out of the Escanaba location.
"Alex's knowledge and focus on client service have made significant contributions to our team and clients' financial success," Ben Zyburt, Investment Management Group manager, said in the news release.
DeHaan is an honors graduate of the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, Class of 2017.
