IRON MOUNTAIN — Frank Smith IV has joined Stephens Real Estate as an agent in its Iron Mountain office.
A lifelong Upper Peninsula resident, Smith earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Michigan State University before graduating from the Michigan State Police 125th Training Academy. He retired in May after a distinguished 13-year career with the Michigan State Police, serving at the Wakefield, Negaunee and Iron Mountain posts.
“Real estate offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships while helping individuals and families achieve their financial and personal goals,” Smith said in a news release. “I’m excited to bring my experience in problem-solving, negotiating, and communication to this new chapter of my career.”
Ryan Gordon, Stephens Real Estate owner and broker, said he thinks Smith’s background makes him a natural fit for the industry.
“Frank’s commitment to serving others, combined with his analytical mindset, integrity, and attention to detail, will be tremendous assets to his clients,” Gordon said. “He understands the importance of trust and communication, and we are excited to welcome him to the Stephens team.”
An Iron Mountain native, Smith lives in Vulcan with his wife, Alicia, and their two daughters. He enjoys tending to the family’s hobby farm, beekeeping, gardening and supporting his daughters at sporting events and music programs throughout the year.
