Adopted daughter of Rosie O’Donnell living in Niagara

NIAGARA, Wis. – The adopted daughter of comedian Rosie O’Donnell – reported as missing earlier this month – is living in Niagara and drawing the attention of a British tabloid newspaper.

On Friday, Daily Mail.com posted videos and photos of Chelsea O’Donnell, 18, near the home of her birth mother, Deanna Micoley, 38, in Niagara.

Chelsea O’Donnell left Rosie O’Donnell’s home in South Nyack, New York, on Aug. 11 with a therapy dog, according to Associated Press reports. She was found “of sound mind and body” a week later in Barnegat, New Jersey.

Rosie O’Donnell, 53, told authorities her daughter suffers from mental illness. But in conversations with The Daily Mail both Chelsea O’Donnell and Micoley denied those claims and said everything is fine.

The Daily Mail described Chelsea O’Donnell as “happy and relaxed,” and featured photographs of her smoking a cigarette and chatting on the phone outside Micoley’s home.

According to newspaper reports, Micoley recently drove some 1,000 miles to pick up her daughter, who she had given up for adoption at the age of two months. Chelsea turned 18 last Monday and Rosie O’Donnell was reportedly against her decision to go to Wisconsin.

Rosie O’Donnell hosted a daytime talk show from 1996 through 2002. In 2006, she became a moderator on The View. She left The View in 2007, was rehired in 2014, then left again earlier this year, citing personal reasons.

The outspoken TV host had a major heart attack in 2012 and talked about her near-death experience in an HBO special this year.
