ESCANABA — Escanaba Public Safety and Escanaba Township firefighters are battling a blaze at Coplan Iron & Metal Company salvage yard in Escanaba, the Daily Press reported.

Early reports indicate multiple vehicles on fire and concerns about propane tanks in the area.

The fire comes within a week of another fire Tuesday destroying Pete’s Auto Wrecking west of Escanaba. Multiple fire departments spent countless hours working to extinguish that blaze.
