New fire truck

A new fire truck was delivered this week to Kingsford Public Safety Department. The four-door cab unit has a Freightliner M2 106 chassis with a Pierce top mount pumper. With the $350,013 purchase from Pierce Manufacturing of Appleton, Wis., the city will retire its 1980 secondary truck and retain a 1997 unit.
