12 hired at BTS for new year
KINGSFORD — Prior to the start of the school year, the Breitung Township Schools Board hired 12 employees as teachers, educational assistants, child care providers and kitchen helpers.
In the teaching area, the board approved Jeremiah Garrigues as a music teacher in grades 6-12, Diana Peters as an exploratory teacher at Kingsford Middle School and math teacher at Kingsford High School and Tina Doran is an elementary teacher assigned to early kindergarten for the current school year.
In addition, Tamara Nash was approved as the assistant principal-lead teacher at Kingsford Middle School.
Educational assistants hired includes Sarah Shaker, Brad Sleik, Ann Walsh and Kathy Paul. Allissa Marcell was hired as a child care provider at the Woodland Child Care Center.
Four kitchen helpers were also approved for the food service program and include Tara Chartier, Julie Sparapani, Lisa Kamppinen and Christina Richtig.
