IRON MOUNTAIN — On Sunday three animal welfare organizations will be sponsoring a cat and kitten adoption event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pet Supplies Plus in the Iron Mountain Plaza Mall, 1816 S Stephenson in Iron Mountain.

At this joint event, Barn Cat Buddies and Babies, Almost Homer Animal Shelter and Northwoods Animal Shelter will have a number of cats and kittens available for introduction to and adoption by approved applicants.

These cats and kittens are friendly, healthy, playful and very socialized. They have all been or will be spayed or neutered before adoption and have their first vaccinations. Local veterinarians Iron Mountain Animal Hospital, Norway Veterinary Clinic, Niagara Animal Hospital and Dr. Paul’s Animal Clinic have agreed to provide a free health checkup for each kitten adopted at this Event.

The public is encouraged to stop by Pet Supplies Plus to meet these adorable cats and kittens whether or not they are interested in adopting one. The three organizations express their appreciation to Pet Supplies Plus for its participation in this event and for their support.

Each organization has agreed to a discounted adoption fee of $50 for one cat or kitten and $25 for each additional adoption. Adopting two or more cats or kittens together is highly encouraged.
