Hoppe hired as 4-H program coordinator
MARINETTE, Wis. — UW-Extension would like to announce Ben Hoppe will be starting today as the 4-H program coordinator for both Oconto and Marinette counties.
With over 500 youth involved in the 4-H program in this two-county area, UW-Extension is looking to provide leadership to grow the program and reach even more youth in the future.
The 4-H program coordinator leads and manages a full range of 4-H Youth Development programs including clubs, after school programs, educational experiences and camps.
Hoppe graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a degree in resource management- environmental education and interpretation.
He has experience providing educational programming working for the National Park Service, first as a park guide at Carlsbad Caverns National Park and then as a park ranger at Yellowstone National Park.
Most recently he has been working in the paper industry in the Fox Valley.
“Ben is going to be a great addition to UW-Extension in both Marinette and Oconto counties,” says Nancy Crevier, Area Extension director. “He is looking forward to meeting with area 4-H clubs to meet our youth members and to begin working with our 4-H adult volunteers.”
