North Dickinson fifth grade students, rather than exchanging presents for Christmas in their classroom, voted to donate gifts to the Toys-for-Tots program. Michigan State Trooper Geno Basanese, who is involved with both the Toys-for-Tots program and North Dickinson’s fifth grade class throughout the year, visited North Dickinson to pick up the gifts for distribution.
