Communications training offered

Menominee — The M&M Area Community Foundation will host a public communications training on from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23 at Bellin Health in Marinette, Wis.

This class is offered as part of the foundation’s continuing support for non-profit and charitable organizations including schools, churches, and government entities throughout Marinette and Menominee counties.

“We have received requests from a number of area organization for assistance with messaging their mission and communicating with public media, including radio and television interviews and news story preparation,” said Paula Gruszynski MMACF executive director.

It will include demonstrations of live interview techniques, sound bite and media communications preferences, individual coaching exercises, and opportunities for questions.

The MMACF has sought and received support from area communications professionals to provide counsel and training. The cost is $10 per individual and will be used to defray costs for materials and facility arrangements.
