Jacob Viau

KINGSFORD — Kingsford High School senior, Jacob Viau, has been notified by the Department of the Army that he has been awarded an Army ROTC scholarship.

The competition for an Army ROTC scholarship involves many of the finest students in the country. The award covers full tuition at Michigan State University up to $180,000.

Viau has maintained an excellent academic record at KHS. He has consistently been on the honor roll and is a member of the National Honor Society. He has participated in athletics, held a part-time job, and also found time to devote many volunteer hours to various community activities.

He is the son of John and Judy Viau of Quinnesec. Viau plans to attend Michigan State University, where he will major in biosystems engineering.
