IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson County Area Band will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Lake Antoine Band Shell.

The band, under the direction of Florence High School band director Robert Knox, will present a program of marches, excerpts from musicals, and standard band repertoire. Admission to the concert and park is free and patrons are reminded to bring their own chairs.

The Dickinson County Area Band is made up of many local music teachers, band directors and adult musicians, as well as talented high school band members.

Currently the band welcomes new members and is especially in need of low brass and alto saxophone. Perspective musicians need to have good technical skills and above average sight reading ability. Interested new members should contact Barb Rice at 906-396-3742.
