Rollover crash in Channing early today
IRON MOUNTAIN — A 48-year-old Iron Mountain man escaped serious injury in a rollover accident early today that shut down M-95 in Channing for about an hour.
The crash occurred about 12:25 a.m. when the Iron Mountain man apparently fell asleep at the wheel and hit a legally parked vehicle on the shoulder of the road, causing his vehicle to roll over into the middle of M-95, according to a news release from the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain post.
The driver was treated for injuries at the site and was cited for careless driving, troopers said.
