Semi rolls on M-69 in Breen Township

IRON MOUNTAIN — An Ironwood man had non-life-threatening injuries after the semitrailer he was driving rolled Tuesday afternoon on M-69 in Dickinson County.

Troopers were called at 3:40 p.m. to the crash on M-69 near Swan Peterson Road in Breen Township, according to a news release from the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post.

The 61-year-old man was eastbound on the highway when he lost control of his semi and the trailer overturned, spilling its cargo across the highway.

He was transported to the Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for treatment and later cited for careless driving.

Troopers were assisted by Nordic Ambulance, Wilson’s Towing, Steve Thone and Sons Trucking and U.P. Environmental Services.
