Stephenson National Bank & Trust awards scholarships

STEPHENSON – The Stephenson National Bank & Trust recently awarded scholarships totaling over $15,500 to local high school, college, and university students. These scholarships recognize the achievements of outstanding area students.

The Louis W. Staudenmaier Scholarship is named in honor of the bank’s former president who served from 1952 through 1980. Pembine, Goodman and Wausaukee graduates who received this $1,000 award included:

— Courtney Cook Wolford from Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine High School will attend Bay de Noc Community College and will major in marketing/business.

— Caleb Nelson of Goodman Armstrong Creek High School will be attending Sturgeon Bay North Western Technical College to major in diesel mechanics.

— Madison Vine from Wausaukee High School will attend Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and study nursing.

The following recipients were also honored by SNBT and received the D.E. Thomas Scholarship award:

— Katelyn Morrison from Pembine High School will attend Maranatha Bible University to study physical education.

— Cassie Haupt from Pembine High School will attend UW-Green Bay to study education.

— Jacie Casper from Pembine High School will attend Northern Michigan University to study forensic bio chemistry.

— Courtney Cook Wolford from Pembine High School was honored with this award as well as the Louis W. Staudenmaier Scholarship.

— Macy Wojcik from Wausaukee High School will attend NWTC to study nursing.

— Emily Shaw from Wausaukee High School will attend NWTC majoring in business entrepreneurship.

— Averie Menger from Wausaukee High School will attend UW- Green Bay to study medical business administration.

— Callie Orlando from Wausaukee High School will attend St. Norbert College to study Health Science.

— Magdalen Deschane from Wausaukee High School will attend University Of Minnesota- Twin Cities to study child psychology.
