Summer program offers free meals for children

Sites in Kingsford, Quinnesec, Iron Mountain

KINGSFORD – The Breitung Township School District again will offer a summer food service program for children.

Free meals will be made available to children 18 years of age and younger or persons up to age 26 who are enrolled in an educational program for the mentally or physically disabled that is recognized by a state or local public educational agency.

Adult lunch is $2.75. The meals will be provided without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

No meals will be served July 4 or 5.

Meals will be provided at these listed sites, Monday through Friday, unless specified:

— Kingsford High School, 431 Hamilton Ave., Kingsford, today through July 18, breakfast, 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.; lunch, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

— Kingsford Middle School, 445 Hamilton Ave., Kingsford, July 22 through Aug. 16, breakfast, 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.; lunch, 10:30 a.m. through 1 p.m.

— Quinnesec Park, Lincoln and Cliff, Quinnesec, today through Aug. 16, lunch, 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

— Dickinson-Iron Intermediate School District, Willis Center, 245 Balsam St., Kingsford, today through Aug. 16, breakfast, 9 to 10:30 a.m.; lunch, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

— Woodland Elementary School, 2000 Pyle Drive, Kingsford, today through Aug. 16, breakfast 8 to 9:30 a.m.; lunch, 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

— North Elementary School, 900 Fifth St., Iron Mountain, today through Aug. 16, breakfast 6 to 10:30 a.m.; lunch, 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

— Northern Lights YMCA, 800 Crystal Lake Blvd., today through Aug. 17; lunch, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; snack, 2 to 5 p.m.
