Three injured in crash
IRON MOUNTAIN — Three people were transported to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital on Sunday after a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 2 and Upper Pine Creek Road.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police, Iron Mountain Post, responded to the crash at about 11:43 a.m.
A witness told police one westbound vehicle attempted to make a U-turn and was struck by a second westbound vehicle.
The first vehicle was driven by a 26-year-old Iron Mountain woman traveling with her 8-year-old child. The second vehicle was driven by a 68-year-old Florence, Wis., woman.
All three people were transported to the hospital by Integrity EMS. The 26-year-old was cited for careless driving and operating without a driver’s license.
Both vehicles were disabled in the crash.
