UP man faces murder charge
MUNISING –Jason David Sadowski, accused of homicide in relation to the May 30 death of a Munising man, is scheduled for a preliminary examination July 9 in 93rd District Court after a probable cause conference set for Thursday was waived.
Sadowski was arraigned on the charge of homicide-open murder on June 7 in the Alger County court. The felony charge carries a maximum penalty of life in prison.
Sadowski remains lodged at the Alger County Sheriff’s Office on a no-bond warrant. Munising police arrested him June 7 following an investigation into the suspicious death of a 58-year-old Munising man.
The man, whose identity has not been publicly released by police, was pronounced dead at the scene by Alger County EMS.
Sadowski had been previously convicted of one count of solicitation to commit murder, two counts torture, two counts false imprisonment and two counts strangulation in March 2014, but was acquitted and released from prison following a retrial and long jury deliberation in March 2017.
