POWERS — North Central Area Schools has hired David Florenski to serve as middle school/high school principal for the 2019-2020 school year.

Florenski comes to North Central after serving as the high school principal at the East Jordan Public Schools in East Jordan, Mich.

Prior to that he worked at Gladstone Area Schools for 20 years, serving as both guidance counselor and dean of students at Gladstone High School.

Originally from Gaylord, he received his bachelor’s degree from Alma College in Alma, Mich.

In 2001 he received a master’s degree from Northern Michigan University in guidance and counseling and in 2009 he received a master’s degree front Northern Michigan University in educational administration and supervision.

“The North Central Area Schools has a great reputation,” Florenski said. “I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with the students and the community at North Central-Area Schools.”
