School, city meetings today

The Board of Education for Iron Mountain Public Schools will hold an open house with superintendent candidates from 4 to 5 p.m. today in the B Floor hallway of the school at 300 West B St., Iron Mountain. A special board meeting will follow at 5 p.m. in the media center at the school.

The Niagara School District will hold a budget hearing and annual meeting at 5:30 p.m. today at the Niagara High School LMC, 700 Jefferson Ave., Niagara, Wis. A special board meeting will follow, with the agenda to include alternative applications for open enrollment.

Iron Mountain City Council will meet at 6 p.m. today at City Hall, 501 S. Stephenson Ave., Iron Mountain. The agenda includes special use permit recommendations for 1111 West B St. and 615 Industrial Drive, guidelines for the deer management program, and a public hearing on a Commercial Rehabilitation Exemption Certificate for Menominee Range Investments at 323 S. Stephenson Ave.

Kingsford City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. today in the council chambers at City Hall, 305 S. Carpenter Ave., Kingsford. Agenda items include the deer management archery hunt and appointment of a superintendent of public works.

Norway City Council will meet at 7 tonight in the council chambers at City Hall, 915 Main St., Norway.

The Iron County Housing Commission will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the conference room of Pleasant Valley Apartments at 210 North Third St., Crystal Falls.

Waucedah Township Planning Commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Waucedah Township Hall in Loretto.

The Florence County Board of Supervisors will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Florence County Courthouse courtroom. There will be a public hearing on an ordinance amendment to establish all-terrain vehicle/utility terrain vehicle routes in the county. The agenda also includes the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Northeast Master Plan and a Little Popple River bridge project.

The Florence County School Board will hold a personnel committee meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Room 211 of Florence High School. The agenda includes a closed session to discuss the elementary principal vacancy and elementary professional staffing.
