School, township, county meetings scheduled

The Board of Education of Iron Mountain Public Schools will meet at 5:30 p.m. today in the superintendent’s board room at 217 Izzo-Mariucci Way, Iron Mountain. Also, there will be special meetings at 5 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m Saturday at the same location as part of the process of hiring a new superintendent.

Norway Township Board will hold its regular monthly meeting at 5:30 tonight at the Norway Township Hall in Vulcan.

The Dickinson County Board of Commissioners will meet at 6 p.m. today in the circuit courtroom of the courthouse in Iron Mountain. Agenda items include appointments to the Dickinson County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority and Lake Antoine Park Partners.

The North Dickinson County School Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. today at the North Dickinson High School Library. Agenda items include instructional aide staffing, lunch prices and propane bids.

The Breitung Township Board of Trustees will meet at 7 tonight at t township hall in Quinnesec. The agenda includes a request to purchase property in the industrial park for a fueling station, a discussion on ordinance revisions and enforcement, and Maple Street paving bids.

Waucedah Township Board will meet at 7 tonight at the township hall in Loretto.

The Breitung Township Schools Board of Education will meet at 7 tonight in the board room at Woodland Elementary School, 2000 Pyle Drive, Kingsford.

The Iron County Board of Commissioners will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Commissioners Room of the Iron County Courthouse Annex. The agenda includes acceptance of the audit report for fiscal year 2018 and a proposed letter of support for the Endbridge Line 5 pipeline.

Dickinson County Road Commission will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the commission offices, 1107 S. Milwaukee Ave., Iron Mountain. There will be a discussion on the County Road 581 overlay and bid results and the reclassification of Main Street in Vulcan.

Dickinson County Healthcare System will hold a public meeting at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Conference Room E at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital to review its plan to apply for a U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development loan of $24.65 million. The loan is to refinance part of the hospital’s long-term debt and purchase equipment.

Dickinson-Iron Intermediate School District Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday in Conference Room A of the ISD building at 1074 Pyle Drive in Kingsford. The agenda includes revised job descriptions and recommendations to fill open employment positions.

Norway-Vulcan Schools Board of Education will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the school’s Media Center. There will be a building and grounds meeting at 5:30 p.m.
